Woodward Night of The Arts
We are excited to present the Night of the Arts, Wednesday, April 24th at 6 PM at The School.
The English, Art, Music and Theater Departments collaborate to create a fun and unique event - always one of the most enjoyable and well attended of the year. Attendees will experience artwork, poetry, and music in a gallery atmosphere.

Spring Musical at Wesner Hall on April 5th & 6th
The Woodward Drama Club is proud to present Schoolhouse Rock Live! on Friday, April 5, and Saturday, April 6 at 7 PM at Wesner Hall, 20 Greenleaf Street. This fun-filled musical is based on the educational television series that first aired in 1973 and features memorable favorites such as, “Conjunction, Junction” and “Interjections!” Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $7.00 for students and senior citizens and may be purchased at the main office or at the door. We hope to see you there!

Eighty students put their science projects on display Thursday at the Woodward School for Girls in Quincy. Cheryl Casey, head of the school’s science department and one of the judges for the fair, said the school, which opened in 1894, has been holding science fairs since 1948.

Annual Science Fair
Woodward's Annual Science Fair will be held on Thursday, February 7th at the School, from 12:30 to 2:35 PM. Official Science Fair presentations and judging will occur from 12:30 to 2:00 PM. Interested parents are invited to view the projects beginning at 2 PM, and school will dismiss, as usual at 2:35 PM.
Spirit Week
Monday - Sports Day; Tuesday - Twin Day; Wednesday - Woodward Spirit Day; Thursday - International Day; and Friday - Color Day. Color Day is by grade and the colors for each grade are: Grade 6 - pink; Grade 7 - orange; Grade 8 - purple; Grade 9 - green; Grade 10 - red; Grade 11 - blue; and Grade 12 - black.
Science Fair is Almost Here
The Science Fair will be held on February 7th from 12:30 to 2:30. Students will attend classes on a half day schedule and will setup their displays and have lunch from 11:30-12:30. At 12:30, students will report back to their projects and begin presentations. Winners will be announced at a school assembly the next day. The judging staff is made up of guests, parents, teachers, and seniors. Our budding scientists are hard at work on their projects and looking forward to Science Fair day.
Two Woodward Student Artists' Work to Appear in National Publication
The art work will be published in Celebrating Art. Entries to this contest may be any subject or theme. The publication focuses on showcasing student art.
Woodward Annual Coat Drive
Woodward's Greenleaf Service Organization (GSO) has been collecting coats for kids in conjunction with Anton Cleaners. The GSO collected over 35 coats for needy children.
Admission Testing, Round 1 on Saturday, January 5th
Students that have not taken the ISEE or SSAT and wish to apply to Woodward must register for Woodward's assessment exam by contacting the School.

The Woodward Drama Club Presents William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Fri. Nov. 30 and Sat. Dec. 1
The Woodward Drama Club is proud to present William Shakespeare's most beloved tragedy, Romeo and Juliet. Performances dates are Friday, Nov. 30, and Saturday, Dec. 1, at 7 pm and will be held at Wesner Hall, 20 Greenleaf St. Tickets are $7 for students and senior citizens and $10 for adults and may be purchased in advance from Mrs. Ryan, from a Drama Club officer, or at the door. We hope to see you there.

Quincy Girls Discover Woodward Day!
The Woodward School hosted this special event for Quincy girls only on Tuesday, November 27th. Quincy families took student guided tours and participated in a panel discussion led by current Woodward students. Thanks to all who assisted in making this event a great success!

Woodward Student Art Work to be Exhibited at Thomas Crane Public Library
The Thomas Crane Public Library will be displaying Woodward student artwork from Thursday, November 1st until Friday, November 30th in the Coletti Reading Room. There will be a reception for Woodward artists on Thursday, November 8th from 6 to 8 PM. All are invited to attend.

The Woodward Drama Club announces auditions for the fall play Romeo and Juliet. The performance dates are scheduled for Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 1.
